Run All Night, the second single to be released in the lead up to Andrew's 6th studio album, is due out in May. Andrew and his recording studios have moved around a lot over the last few years. The track began out in the eastern suburbs, before moving to St. Kilda and then finishing up out in country Victoria. It features his son Huxley on drums and long time band mate and Superstitions bassist, Andy Pap, while McCubbin adds his distinctive voice and guitars, synths and piano skills.
The track is mixed by Andrew and long term buddy and bandmate, Gary Aspinal (Killjoys / Hope Addicts) and mastered by Nao Anzai (Teskey Brothers / Cash Savage).
Run All Night signals in perhaps a new era in songwriting for McCubbin who seems to be shedding his Cohenesque skin for a more Go Betweens style literary pop.
